The Nativity Story

One very special night, our Lord Jesus was born. He wasn’t born in a hospital like you or me but in a stable where animals slept.
Father God put a big, bright star in the sky above the stable and made it shine brightly. He was excited and very happy because Jesus was his son!
Father God sent angels to some shepherds in the fields. The angels told the shepherds that Jesus had been born.
The shepherds were excited too and set off to visit the newborn baby.
Some time later, three wise and wealthy men noticed the big, bright star Father God had placed in the sky. They knew it was a sign that something very important had happened.
They also wanted to visit Jesus and so they began the long journey to see him together.
When they arrived at the stable, the wise men presented gifts to Jesus. They brought gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Mary and Joseph were going to be Jesus’ mummy and daddy. They were a very happy family.
